This position is responsible for the efficient and proper handling of incoming and outgoing materials in a safe manner. This includes the use of barcode scanners/computer systems and requires documentation of activities related to both outbound and inbound shipments. This position is responsible for the proper handling of inventory and assists with the physical inventory, which includes inventory accuracy verifications and cycle counts. Also will perform other duties as assigned.
Order Picking Process
1. Unitize product to customer specification as needed and required.
2. Visually inspect all product prior to loading and make any necessary corrections to ensure safety and quality
requirements are followed.
3. Pull product from the warehouse inventory according to requirements.
4. Comply with all Quality processes and procedures.
5. Comply with all Safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to, Glad hand locks, wheel chocks, and
industrial truck program.
6. Maintain forklift and scanning equipment.
7. Pull material from banding line and place in required location.
8. Stretch wrap units as required.
9. Maintain FIFO inventory.
10. Secure product after loading for Safe transport
11. Must be able to safely and efficienctly operate a forklift.
Process Paperwork
1. Accurately scan all material loaded per requirements.
2. Modify warehouse load tags as necessary and required.
3. Match all RMA paperwork with product being returned
Maintain Proper Housekeeping
1. Keep work area clean and organized.
2. Empty all trashcans in assigned area of responsibility daily.
3. Sweep all floors in assigned area of responsibility.
4. Maintain pallet storage area and store in a safe manner.
Communication
1. Assist the Quality Department with any NCR's as needed and required.
2. Communicate with Converting, Specialty, and other departments, as needed, to ensure proper and timely loading of
products.
3. Alert Managment to Safety concerns on dock area or missing/damaged wheel chocks
Working knowledge of the HRMS shipping functions/bar code scanner.
Must have previous forklift experience.
Must have strong mathematical skills.
