Responsibilities
-
Ensure that components are free from defects and consistent with customer expectations
-
Working with all aspects of manufacturing to solve quality problems that originate within the process
-
Liaise with CMM operator and Q.A. Inspector to verify results of all in-process inspection
-
Maintain accurate and accessible records
-
Ensure Quality system is current with customer expectations and external quality auditing bodies
-
Ensure Quality procedures, processes and work instructions are being followed
-
Oversee all PPAP processes and Run At Rate to ensure that they are performed as per customer standards, documented and verified
-
Provide input in continuous improvement plans for internal manufacturing process
-
Responsible for reviewing the completion of Corrective Actions
-
Leader in all internal launches and external when necessary
-
Perform customer and supplier site visits to review process and/or complaints
-
Ensure all completed Engineering changes are verified to meet the customers FRQ
-
Reports directly to General Manager on key measures and quality policy.
-
Other duties and responsibilities may be added as deemed appropriate by the General Manager
Health and Safety Responsibilities

Ensure that the department and the plant in general are orderly and clean.

Ensure that the tools needed to perform necessary departmental housekeeping duties are supplied.
Human Resources

Ensure employees performing tasks in all departments have been sufficiently trained and the training is documented, training records available from the individual department’s managers.
