Job Description

Support role for all non-metal purchasing activities, mostly:Lubes, pretreatment chemical, Spare PartsUtilities - Services (roll grinding, other maintenance services, facility services, consulting)PackagingCapital equipment and large construction projectsPrepare work orders, requisitions, and purchase orders for services, supplies, and equipmentReview/Analyze purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policyWork with Buyer and Manager to resolve supplier invoice issuesReport generation of KPI’s and other monthly reports required by EHSS, Maintenance, Finance, and ProcurementGeneral filing, Tabware Maintenance, and Supplier set-up. Maintain accurate information in various systemsAssist with inventory control of crib for spare parts and other key stock items.Issue and review RFQ’sFollow up on past due RFQ’s and PO’sAssist team with expedite and rush ordersRecognize and recommend changes when business conditions warrant it.Demonstrate a working knowledge of current laws and regulations that affect the business environmentEstablish and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.Respect plant and company ethical values and policies in dealing with suppliers and customersAnalyze innovative solutions to problems and tries different methods to deal with problems and opportunities.Qualifications:Associate's degree in related field required; BS or BA highly preferredA minimum of 2+ years of experience in purchasing area is requiredEntrepreneurial PassionSelf starter – happy to work in a start up company with high degrees of freedom – able to work independentlyDirect manufacturing experience, automotive or aluminum industry is preferredProficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPointMust be passionate toward implementing and enhancing the growth and development of a High Performance Work System Team EnvironmentKnowledge of production and maintenance equipment, experience with Tabware preferredAbsolute commitment to EHSSPersonality/interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a constrained environment (deadlines, costs, able to work under pressure) and ability to drive multiple projects in parallel, which interfere with each otherAbility to listen and sense of service (customer, team, etc.)Ability to fix the direction and to drive the execution after alternatives analysis with team, demonstrates accountabilityAbility to be flexible and to adjust priorities as necessary to meet changing conditions Analytical and ability to synthesize with other departments when necessary
