Job Duties/Responsibilites: (BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day to day supervision of manufacturing personnel.
- Responsible for maintaining staffing levels of the shift to efficiently run the production operation.
- Ensure that our employees work in a safe environment. Promote safe activities by all manufacturing personnel. Counsel any employees that are violating company safety policies or are participating or encouraging unsafe acts.
- Ensure Production associates are achieving established performance metrics. Work to eliminate barriers in any area that fall below the established goals and objectives.
- Responsible for maintaining the key performance indicators necessary for production continuous improvement
- Work will all departments seamlessly to continuously improve plant productivitiy.
- Approve and manage vacations for manufacturing associates.
Quality Responsibilities:
- Aid team members in trouble shooting product/process, quality problems.
- Monitor and administer internal quality corrective actions.
- Ensure production follows proper quality procedures and standards.
Continuous Improvement Responsibilities:
- Train new manufacturing personnel.
- Participation in TPS activities; including Kaizan exercises.
- Ensure proper training requirements are completed per HR requirements.
- Required participation in continuous improvemtn teams
- Direct empoyee performance evaluations as necessary.
- Assures the documentation of all operating procedures, operating instructions, processes parameters and all documents required for production by quality.
Job Qualifications/Requirements:
- 5-10 years experience in industry field or related industry
- Extensive knowledge of production systems and operations.
- Basic financial knowledge required.
- Supervisory experience a MUST.
- Training in Lean Manufacturing concepts a plus.
- Computer skills necessary.
- Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak English in this position.
- Must be able to spend a significant amount of time on the production floor exposed to extreme temperatures.
