Lead Person

PeopleMark is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and self-starting candidate to fill the position of Lead Person in Ridgeway, SC area.

Available Shift: 1<sup>st

$17 hr.</sup>

Job Duties/Responsibilities: (But not limited to)

Supervisory Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the day to day supervision of manufacturing personnel.
2. Responsible for maintaining staffing levels of the shift to efficiently run the production operation.
3. Ensure that employees work in a safe environment.  Promote safe activities by all manufacturing personnel.  Counsel any employee that may be violating company safety policies or are participating or encouraging unsafe acts.
4. Ensure production associates are achieving established performance metrics.  Work to eliminate barriers in any area that fall below the established goals and objectives.
5. Responsible for maintaining the key performance indicators necessary for production continuous improvement .
6. Work with all departments seamlessly to continuously improve plant productivity.
7. Approve and manage vacations for manufacturing associates.

Quality Responsibilities:

1. Aid team members in trouble shooting product/process, quality problems.
2. Monitor and administer internal quality corrective actions.
3. Ensure production follows proper quality procedures and standards.

Continuous Improvement Responsibilities:

1. Train new manufacturing personnel
2. Participation in TPS activities; include Kaizan exercises.
3. Ensure proper training requirements are completed per HR requirements.
4. Required participation in continuous improvement teams.
5. Direct employee performance evaluations, as necessary.
6. Assures the documentation of all operating procedures, operating instructions, processes parameters and all documents required for production by quality.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

1. 5-10 years experience in industry field or related industry.
2. Extensive knowledge of production systems and operations.
3. Basic financial knowledge required.
4. Supervisory experience a MUST.
5. Training in Lean Manufacturing concepts a plus.
6. Computer skills necessary.
   1. UPS or FedEx Shipping System.
   2. SAP Software experience a plus.
7. Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak English in this position.
8. Must be able to spend a significant amount of time on the production floor exposed to extreme temperatures.
