JOB DESCRIPTION:

COMMERCIAL PAINTERS are responsible for painting the interiors and exteriors of commercial properties.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for accomplishing all painting services for the Engineering Department.
• Applies various finishes to buildings, rooms, other structures, and roadway surface lots, including primers or sealers.
• Prepares, cleans, and tapes all jobsites.
• Prepares walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, etc.
• Mixes colors or oils to obtain desired color or consistency.
• Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned.
• Cleans up worksite debris and posts wet paint signs in area of painting.
• Fills cracks and holes with appropriate material.
• Paints surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
• Always demonstrates exemplary behavior contributing to the total team concept of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+ years commercial painter experience 
• Drug test and Background check required.
• High School Diploma/GED - preferred
• TB Test & Flu Shot
• MMR Vaccinations

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers.
• Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
