Heavy Equipment Operator

Duration: current – November 2024 | Potential for long- term, FT employment

Description:

· Operates construction and hauling equipment including back hoes, track hoes, bulldozers, scrapers and articulator dump trucks.

· Prepares construction site for building, demolition or excavation.

· Uses equipment to prepare building sites for exterior site work such as parking lots, driveways and sidewalks.

· Operates machinery used to build roads.

· Inspects and fuels equipment prior to beginning shift.

· Performs routine maintenance and repairs.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 years related experience.

· Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions such as cold, heat and humidity.

· Ensure safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.

· Able to work flexible hours to include weekends and overtime.

· Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision.

· Extensive knowledge of heavy machine operation and capabilities.

· Ability to read building plans related to structural concrete and land grades.

· Excellent mechanical skills.

· Reliable transportation and attendance.

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift
• Night shift
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
