Peoplemark is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and self-starting candidate to fill the position of Facility Manager in Ridgeway, SC area.
Available 1st shift (occasional overtime)
Job Description Summary:
This position is responsible for the safe and efficient day to day operations of all Converting and/or Assembly activities in accordance with customer approved specifications, all Safety Policies/Procedures, and all Quality requirements. This position is responsible for providing direction and guidance to the facility and its employees daily. Also, will perform other duties as assigned. All supervisors and lead people report directly to this individual.

Essential Job Functions:
Preferred Qualifications Essential Job Functions are those job duties that must be performed within the scope of employment by this position.

A. Provide Daily Leadership and Supervision to the Facility and its Employees:
 
  1. Develop a staffing plan to satisfy production demands.
  2. Manage productivity performance to ensure key metrics are met.
  3. Develop and foster a good working relationship with regional production facility.
  4. Ensure employees efficiently perform job duties in accordance with customer approved specifications and all CPG Quality requirements.
  5. Practice strong employee relations to create and maintain satisfactory productivity, motivation, morale, and a respectable/fair work environment.
  6. When needed, approve, and manage time off requests for employees.
  7. Manage all facility related functions in HRMS (transfers, backlog management, research, various reports, etc.)
  8. Conduct counseling/disciplinary action meetings, as needed, with employees.
  9. If applicable, ensure that employee time diaries match with production diaries in HRMS.
  10. Ensure proper training requirements are completed per Quality, Safety, ISO, HR, or any other requirements.
  11. Complete and conduct performance evaluations for all employees.
  12. Implement and monitor strategies for productivity improvement.
  13. Manage monthly, annual, and other inventory requirements and responsibilities.
  14. Coordinate with Customer Service, Shipping, and any other appropriate departments on daily job assignments.
  15. Monitor and provide feedback on performance including, but not limited to, rates, efficiencies, and goals.
  16. Responsible for monitoring and controlling financial elements of the satellite facility such as labor, material expenses, and inventory.
  17. Schedules all production and/or assembly functions to meet the needs of the customer.
  18. Verify incoming materials and forward incoming paperwork to Receiver Coordinator in a timely manner.

B. Implement and Drive Continuous Improvement Activities:
 
  1. Implement continuous improvement efforts supporting TPS/Lean Manufacturing.
  2. Participate and support Continuous Improvement Teams, as needed and required.
  3. Work with employees in troubleshooting product/process quality problems.
  4. Implement all corrective action items. Follow up to assure compliance.
  5. Work with employees in identifying root causes for non-conformance issues and in developing corrective actions.
  6. Verify documentation of all operating procedures, operating instructions, process parameters, and other documents required by quality procedures.

C. Responsible for the Growth and Development of Employees:
 
  1. Develop the skills of the employees through regular classroom training and/or on-the-job training.
  2. Orient temporary employees or new hires to equipment, processes, quality standards, and so forth.
  3. Develop leadership skills and knowledge of Supervisors and/or Leads.

D. Continually Promote a Safe Work Environment:
 
  1. Establish and maintain a strong safety culture daily.
  2. Conduct and develop training on weekly, monthly, and/or yearly safety topics.
  3. Conduct safety audits and provide any recommendations for improvement and/or document any violations.
