Machine Operator - 2nd & 3rd Shifts
This position is responsible for assembling and checking product parts, and ensuring that all machinery runs smoothly, and assisting in the preparation for distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Observe continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure that products meet specifications
- Measure and visually inspect product for surface and dimension defects
- Manual documentation of faulty parts
- Inventory and record quantities of materials and finished products, requisitioning additional supplies as necessary
- Unload finished products from conveyor belts, pack them in containers, and place containers in warehouses
- Ensure quality control of materials and finished products
- Entering needed information into the ERP System
- Follow job safety guidelines in the workplace
- Uses safety procedures for production tools (a knife, screwdriver buttons and assembly assistant device etc.)
- Follow detailed work instructions, assembly instructions, and packing instructions
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Communication skills, team player, attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Skills & Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to stand/walk for up to an 8-hour shift or a flexible working time with any overtime
- Must be able to lift over 25 pounds.
- Good hand to eye coordination
- Drive, motivation, & passion for providing excellent customer service
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Previous assembly/production experience preferred but not required
- Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English
- Prior Automotive experience preferred but not required
