A Receiving Clerk receives, inspects and documents incoming raw materials, ensuring they align with purchase orders and meet quality standards. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records in the Oracle system, resolving discrepancies with suppliers and departments, and ensuring the receiving area is organized and functional at all times. The role also involves supporting inventory management, coordinating shipments and upholding company values like safety and teamwork.
Job Expectations to include, but not limited to:
- Receiving and Documenting Materials:
Unload and inspect incoming materials, verify quantities and quality against purchase orders, and accurately document receipts in the Oracle system.
- Inventory and Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate inventory records and provide data for supplier analysis and performance metrics, supporting the company's quality system.
Work with Purchasing and Accounting to resolve any discrepancies in shipments and process returns or replacements from vendors.
Keep the receiving area organized, functional, and safe, ensuring received items are properly handled and moved out of the area in a timely manner.
Facilitate communication with suppliers and internal departments (e.g., Accounting, Purchasing, Materials Management) to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
Coordinate shipments for rebuilt items and provide logistical support for materials coming onto the plant site, such as customer return scrap.
