🕒 Shift: 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Must be willing to train on 1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM for several weeks)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated 3rd Shift Production Supervisor to join our client’s growing plastic injection molding team in Fraser, MI. The Production Supervisor will oversee 15–20 team members, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.
Leadership & Supervision
Supervise, train, and support up to 20 operators on the production floor.
Oversee daily operations, ensuring schedules, production goals, and quality standards are met.
Maintain strong communication with team members and leadership to ensure smooth shift transitions.
Provide on-the-job training and guidance following lean manufacturing principles.
Ensure all operators follow safety and quality protocols.
Production & Quality Control
Monitor and maintain machine cycle times and production efficiency.
Schedule and manage press operations according to customer requirements.
Conduct process monitoring, quality checks, and documentation as required.
Perform minor machine repairs or coordinate maintenance when necessary.
Ensure adherence to quality standards, including visual inspections and SPC checks.
Address production or quality issues promptly—escalate concerns when necessary.
Safety & Housekeeping
Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times.
Enforce all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE usage.
Identify and address potential hazards (e.g., oil spills, equipment issues).
Oversee daily housekeeping and equipment cleanliness.
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in monthly inventories and other administrative duties.
Operate a Hi-Lo as needed (Hi-Lo license required).
Assist with rework, sorts, and material handling as necessary.
Support cross-shift coverage and vacation schedules when needed.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of plastic injection molding experience required.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and machinery.
Ability to perform basic mechanical troubleshooting.
Physical Requirements:
Constant walking and standing.
Frequently lift up to 20 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Ability to bend, push, and carry materials as needed.
Certifications: Valid Hi-Lo license required.
Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
