Staffing Specialist

This position manages the full recruitment lifecycle, sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates while collaborating with hiring managers to meet organizational staffing needs. The position uses an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to manage applicants, conduct interviews, and coordinate onboarding. It also ensures compliance with labor laws and develops talent pipelines. 

Job duties include identifying hiring needs, recruiting potential employees, conducting interviews, orientating new employees, performing pre-employment screenings, collaborating with employee timecards, attending job fairs, and hiring events.  This position requires daily/weekly site visits often to manage the employees at the job sites. This position will collaborate closely with the clients and will provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing & Recruiting: Utilize job boards, social media, and professional networks to find qualified candidates.
  • Screening & Selection: Review resumes, conduct interviews, and perform assessments to determine best-fit candidates.
  • Hiring Process Management: Manage the full hiring cycle, from posting job openings to extending offers.
  • Collaboration: Partner with department managers to define job requirements and hiring strategies.
  • Onboarding & Compliance: Facilitate new hire onboarding and ensure all hiring practices follow legal regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate candidate data and employee records within the ATS. 
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience as a staffing specialist, recruiter, or in a similar HR role.
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Licenses: Valid Driver’s License
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), resume databases, and MS Office.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interviewing and building relationships.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of labor legislation and employment regulations. 
This role is crucial for maintaining organizational productivity by ensuring that the right talent is hired efficiently.

Schedule: Monday- Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Occasional daily and weekend overtime may be required.
