Cheesemaker Assistant
Location: Anderson, SC
Schedule: 1st Shift
A local food production facility is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Cheesemaker Assistant to join their production team. This is a temp‑to‑perm opportunity for someone interested in food production and maintaining high sanitation standards in a USDA‑regulated environment.
Schedule
- Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Job Duties
- Perform industrial and kitchen cleaning duties to meet USDA and DHEC sanitation standards
- Assist with cheesemaking production activities as needed
- Clean and sanitize equipment, work areas, and production vats
- Follow all safety, hygiene, and food‑handling procedures
- Maintain accurate cleanliness and production standards
- Support overall production operations as assigned
Note: Approximately 75% cleaning and sanitation and 25% cheesemaking assistance.
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen, food production, or industrial cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, and perform repetitive movements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and cleanliness
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Workplace Requirements
- Hairnet may be required (provided)
- PPE provided
- Site safety orientation required
- Dress Code: Jeans and t‑shirt acceptable
- Restrictions: No false eyelashes, long nails, or temporary nails due to food safety requirements
