Cheesemaker Assistant 

Location: Anderson, SC
Schedule: 1st Shift

A local food production facility is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Cheesemaker Assistant to join their production team. This is a temp‑to‑perm opportunity for someone interested in food production and maintaining high sanitation standards in a USDA‑regulated environment. 

Schedule

  • Monday – Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM 

Job Duties

  • Perform industrial and kitchen cleaning duties to meet USDA and DHEC sanitation standards
  • Assist with cheesemaking production activities as needed
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, work areas, and production vats
  • Follow all safety, hygiene, and food‑handling procedures
  • Maintain accurate cleanliness and production standards
  • Support overall production operations as assigned

Note: Approximately 75% cleaning and sanitation and 25% cheesemaking assistance

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen, food production, or industrial cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, and perform repetitive movements
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and cleanliness
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality 

Workplace Requirements

  • Hairnet may be required (provided)
  • PPE provided
  • Site safety orientation required
  • Dress Code: Jeans and t‑shirt acceptable
  • Restrictions: No false eyelashes, long nails, or temporary nails due to food safety requirements
