  • This is Contract to Direct Hire After 90 Days
  • Pay Raise When Hired in Directly
  • This Position Requires Steel Toed Boots
  • They are working 6-7 days currently
  • 3rd Shift 10:00 P.M. till 6:00 A.M.
  • 2nd Shift 2:00 P.M. till 10:00 P.M.
  • 1st Shift 6:00 A.M. till 2:00 P.M.
  • All Breaks Paid (40 Minutes) Must Stay On Property

Overview
Our Client in Sterling Heights is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Machine Operator to support the production of friction discs, steel rings, and related powertrain components used in automotive transmissions, heavy-duty mining equipment, and agricultural machinery. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment while ensuring product quality, workplace safety, and production efficiency. Your expertise will help ensure smooth operations, safety, and top-tier product quality. Duties

Equipment Operation & Setup

  • Set up, calibrate, adjust, and operate manufacturing equipment used in welded, quench, and casting production lines.
  • Monitor machine performance and production processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report significant mechanical problems to
  • Maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain accurate production records and daily operating logs.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, production documents, and safety procedures.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to perform measurements accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred

  • Previous machine operator or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Forklift and/or overhead crane operating experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of medium to heavy materials.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing facility producing friction materials and powertrain components.
  • Exposure to industrial conditions including heat, noise, dust, chemicals, and moving equipment.
  • Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Schedule Expectations

  • Must be available to work assigned shifts, including weekends as needed.
  • Mandatory overtime may be required based on production demands.
  • Operations may run continuously, and employees should be prepared for extended workweeks,
