Lawn Maintenance Helper
Location: Sumter, SC
Pay Rate: $14 Hr.
Schedule: Mon – Fri 7 AM – 3 PM

Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Lawn Maintenance Helper to assist with maintaining residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, follows safety procedures, and can perform physically demanding tasks while contributing to a professional landscaping team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with mowing, edging, and trimming lawns
- Operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including trimmers, blowers, and mowers
- Remove weeds from flower beds, walkways, and landscaped areas
- Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other landscape materials as directed
- Spread mulch, soil, fertilizer, and other landscaping materials
- Prune bushes, shrubs, and small trees
- Collect and dispose of yard debris, leaves, and trash
- Assist with irrigation system installation and maintenance
- Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials
- Clean and maintain equipment and work vehicles
- Follow safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Provide general groundskeeping services as assigned
- Previous landscaping or lawn maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the workday
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation and attendance
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting
- Ability to work in heat, cold, humidity, and other outdoor conditions
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and tools
